AbleGamers -- a charity which strives to "improve the overall quality of life for those with disabilities through the power of video games" -- has announced it raised $33,635 at PAX East, which took place from April 11 to 13 in Boston, Massachusetts. That total comes thanks to matching funds donated by partners including Paradox Interactive and Harmonix CEO Alex Rigopulos. Companies including EA, Deep Silver, Uber Entertainment, and The Behemoth also donated prize packages valued at a total of $42,000 for attendees who participated in AbleGamers' fundraising event at PAX East. AbleGamers works at its mission through a three-pronged approach: Outreach efforts, consultation with game developers who wish to make their games accessible to those with disabilities, and grants of assistive technology to those with disabilities.
