Call of Duty: Black Ops II publisher Activision has laid off approximately 30 staffers, as it looks to hold back on the number of licensed games it releases this year. In a statement to Kotaku, the company said that it will release fewer licensed games in 2013 to better reflect the current video game market. Activision's most recent licensed games include 007 Legends, The Amazing Spider-Man, Family Guy: Back to the Multiverse and MIB: Alien Crisis. As a result of the cutbacks, Activision has laid off staff at a number of its studios, including Black Ops II developer Treyarch. It stressed that the development of upcoming Black Ops II DLC will not be affected by the layoffs. The restructuring comes at a time when Activision has just finished off a record fiscal year, generating $4.86 billion in revenues for the year.
