AIAS Adds Google's Seth Ladd To Board Of Directors

The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences has appointed Google game developer advocate Seth Ladd to its board of directors. Ladd will represent Chrome and browser-based games for the company via its new Google+ platform. "I'm humbled to be accepted into the Academy's Board," said Ladd in a statement. "I look forward to representing Google as we all work together to promote and advance gaming in interactive entertainment in the digital age." The AIAS currently claims over 20,000 members. Its board of directors also includes representatives from Sony, EA, Microsoft, Capcom, and members of the indie community. The Academy recently announced the recipients of its annual Randy Pausch and Mark Beaumont Scholarships, awarding students $2,500 to put toward their game-related education.
