Amazon has made its own little piece of eSports history by announcing the first ever Amazon Appstore eSports tournament dedicated to casual mobile games.

Dubbed the 'Champions of Fire Invitational,' the tournament will see 16 celebrity streamers fight it out for a share of a $100,000 cash prize.

The single-elimination contest will be feature five of top rated casual games; DisneyCrossy Road, Pac-Man 256, Bloons TD Battles, 8 Ball Pool, and Fruit Ninja Tournament Edition

Amazon believes there is "tremendous customer value" in merging the world of eSports with the casual mobile market.

Champions of Fire will make its debut at the Paris hotel in Las Vegas on December 2. It will also be streamed live via Twitch, while a highlight show will be aired on CBS Sports Network on December 12.
