AMD officially announces its 3rd generation AMD Ryzen 4000 Series CPUs for laptops

AMD has officially announced its 3rd generation AMD Ryzen 4000 series CPUs for laptops. The high-end laptop model is the AMD Ryzen 7 4800H which comes with eight CPU cores, and can handle sixteen CPU threads.

The CPU of the AMD Ryzen 7 4800H can go up to 4.2Ghz, and has a 45W TDP. Furthermore, it features 8 Radeon GPU cores that are based on the Vega architecture.

AMD has also shared some benchmarks. According to the slides, the AMD Ryzen 7 4800U is faster by 4% in single-thread performance than the Core i7-1065G7. This laptop is also faster in multi-thread performance, as well as 28% faster in graphics performance.

The first AMD Ryzen 4000 Series laptops will release in Q1 2020.
