AMD will reveal more details about its upcoming next-generation Ryzen CPUs at GDC 2018

GDC 2018 will begin this March and it appears that AMD will reveal more details about its upcoming next-generation Ryzen CPUs. According to the GDC 2018 schedule, AMD will host a session about optimising games for the Ryzen series of CPUs, something that may interest developers and gamers.

From what we know so far, AMD will release its second-generation Ryzen CPUs in April. As such, it will be interesting to see what the red team will reveal at GDC 2018. Could AMD give us also a glimpse at the Ryzen 2 CPUs? One can only hope.

The second-generation Ryzen CPUs will be using the Zen+ architecture, will support the Precision Boost 2 tech, and will be able to hit higher frequency clocks. Do note, however, that these are not Ryzen 2 CPUs. AMD aims to release Ryzen 2 in 2019.

AMD will also release its new Ryzen APUs in February.
