The organizers behind the Penny Arcade Expo’s Seattle chapter have named the colorful cast of indie games set to be featured in this year’s PAX 10 showcase this coming September.
While indie games have had a growing presence at the consumer-facing trade show for some time now, landing a game in the PAX 10 can offer developers a way to shine a spotlight on their creations and get their games directly in front of both attendees and media.
As with years past, the final selections were chosen from a pool of developer submissions by a panel of 50 industry experts tasked with selecting the “best indie games in regard to gameplay and overall fun-factor.” This year, the PAX 10 is comprised of everything from VR puzzlers to party games and story-driven RPGs.
The 2017 PAX 10 roster is as follows:
Antihero (Tim Conkling)
Celeste (Matt Makes Games Inc.)
Cosmo’s Quickstop (Big Sir Games)
Keyboard Sports (Triband)
No Heroes Here (Mad Mimic Interactive)
Ship It (Think On Labs)
Shoot Shoot Mega Pack (Shoot Shoot Mega Pack)
Tiny Bubbles (Pine Street Codeworks)
Wandersong (Dumb and Fat Games)
West of Loathing (Asymmetric)
More details on each title and the showcase itself can be found over on the PAX 10 website. PAX West is set to take place in Seattle, WA on September 1-4, 2017.
