Apex Legends Season 5 - Fortune's Favor is set to go live on May 12. Arriving with the season is the newest legends, Loba Andrade, world-class thief with a tragic past.
EA and Respawn released an animated short for Loba, revealing her origin story, "Legacy of a Thief." While it offers no look at Loba's gameplay or abilities, the fact that she's a sneaky theif could suggest she'll have some sort of stealth mechanics.
The trailer begins with a look at Loba's childhood, revealing that at least one of her parents were killed — probably murdered. She's then sent into the foster care system where she was forced to fend for herself, likely turning to thievery to survive. In terms of lore, it looks like Loba has a connection with Revenant although the trailer cuts off before we find out what that is. It's possible he killed her parent.

Stylish, sophisticated, and resourceful, whatever Loba wants, she takes. Good luck stopping her.
Beyond Loba, Season 5 will also introduce a new battle pass with over 100 exclusive items such as Legendary skins, Apex Packs, and more. A new Season Quest will see players hunt for "treasures and answers," which could have something to do with Loba's story. And lastly, we're getting Ranked Series 4.
Apex Legends Season 5 is set to kick off on May 12. Official patch notes probably won't arrive until close to then, but hopefully we get to see some of Loba's gameplay and abilities before then.
