Newsbrief: Publishing behemoth Take-Two Interactive has invested in popular video streaming service Twitch, as the latter today announced a new $20 million round of investment. The funding round, led by Thrive Capital and with other companies such as WestSummit Capital also participating, will help Twitch to continue scaling its sales division and infrastructure. Details regarding each investors' level of participation were not disclosed. Twitch's popularity has exploded in recent months. The platform had 34 million unique monthly viewers in May, and 35 million in July. In August, that was up to 45 million, in part due to the deal that the company struck with Steam.
