Ubisoft has announced that Assassin's Creed Odyssey will soon be going free-to-play for a short time. From Thursday, March 19th until Sunday, March 22nd; Assassin's Creed Odyssey will be playable for free on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
You will have to download a copy of the game in order to play it but said copy will become useless following the free-to-play weekend's conclusion. Should you want to continue playing, you will have to purchase a copy of the game for its usual price.
However, it's said that any progress you make during the free-to-play weekend will carry over into the full game if you were to go ahead and buy a copy properly. Presumably, the entire game will be available — and it won't just be a playable piece akin to a demo.
