Asura's Wrath, Battlefield 3 Among TGS Future Awards Recipients

The winners of the second annual Future Game Awards were announced in Tokyo this weekend. The Future Game Awards are part of a series of awards ceremonies put on by the Computer Entertainment Supplier's Association (CESA), the organizer of last week's Tokyo Game Show. Unlike its other awards, the Future Awards are voted on by show attendees. Qualified games must not yet be available for sale, and must either be displayed or announced at the show. The ten standard games given Future Game Awards this year, according to CESA [PDF], were as follows: Asura's Wrath (Capcom, PS3/360) Legend of Heroes Ao no Kiseki (Falcom, PSP) Gundam Extreme Vs. (Namco Bandai, PS3) Dragon's Dogma (Capcom, PS3/360) Binary Domain (Sega, PS3/360) Battlefield 3 (Electronic Arts, PS3/360/PC) Final Fantasy XIII-2 (Square Enix, PS3/360) Final Fantasy Type-0 (Square Enix, PSP) Phantasy Star Online 2 (Sega, PC) Monster Hunter G (Capcom, 3DS) Additionally, a "Special Award" was given to a mobile title, Konami's Dragon's Collection. The Special Award was introduced this year, and will now be a standard part of the Future Game Awards ceremony. As Gamasutra previously reported, the grand prize game of the year award was given to Capcom's Monster Hunter Portable 3rd at the Japan Game Awards 2011, which took place a few days prior.
