Autodesk has removed its suite of game middleware products from its digital shelves and will wind down support for the four affected programs in the near future.

This means that game developers are no longer able to pick up Scaleform, Navigation, HumanIK, Beast, or any associated maintenance plans.

Notably, this only affects Autodesk’s middleware offerings, meaning that its game engine Stingray is seemingly still alive and kicking.

Existing owners of the middleware suite will be granted access to the final versions of the source code or binary files for each. Developers with a maintenance contract for any of the discontinued software will still be eligible for bugfixes and support through the contract’s end date, though renewals won’t be offered following expiration.
