Twin Mirror was initially announced in June of 2018 as a brand-new psycohological thriller title from Dontnod — which is the same studio that has developed both entries in the critically acclaimed Life is Strange series — and published by Bandai Namco.
The game sees players taking control of Sam Higgs, who is a journalist that finds himself coming back to his hometown to say a final farewell to one of his friends in his hometown of Basewood; here, he'll get involved in a story that sees him as the main culprit of a crime that he may or may not have committed.
Initially, Twin Mirror was expected to release at one point in 2019. Bandai Namco even began sharing a series of dev diaries that revealed details about the game's development process, as well as interesting information about the game itself; all of which have now been removed from their official YouTube channel .
In fact, in June of 2019 Bandai Namco and Dontnod Entertainment announced that the game had been delayed, and that it would be releasing in 2020 now; more information about the project, unfortunately, was not shared.
Today Bandai Namco has shared a brand-new teaser trailer for Twin Mirror, that sees some graphical improvements, and even a slight character design for the game's main protagonist Sam Higgs — although an official release date for the game is still a mystery.
This recently release teaser trailer also confirms that the game will be made available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. While we already knew that the game was coming out on PC, it has now been revealed that Twin Mirror will only be launching on Epic Games Store and not on Steam — which is rather disappointing.
