Bandai Namco Is Bringing Hands-On Demos For DIGIMON, CODE VEIN II And More At Anime Expo 2025

Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. has officially announced its lineup of games and events for Anime Expo 2025, delivering one of the most stacked showings in recent years. Taking place from July 3 to July 6 at the Los Angeles Convention Center, the publisher is bringing a wide range of demos many playable for the first time anywhere giving attendees a rare first look at some of its most anticipated upcoming titles.

Major Playable Debuts

Among the headliners are Digimon Story Time Stranger, Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree, and Code Vein II, each offering attendees hands-on gameplay in Booth #2106 (South Hall). Here's what fans can expect from the booth and event:

Digimon Story Time Stranger

Marking the first new entry in the Digimon Story series in nearly a decade, this story-rich RPG thrusts players into a cross-dimensional crisis. You play as an agent of ADAMAS, navigating collapsing timelines and mysterious worlds to uncover the cause behind a reality-shattering event. Visually impressive and deeply narrative-driven, this is one of the show's most buzzworthy reveals.

Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree

This 2D isometric roguelite captures attention with its hand-drawn character art, painterly backgrounds, and music by Hitoshi Sakimoto, famed for Final Fantasy Tactics. Fast-paced combat meets mystical Eastern themes, offering a blend of action and emotion. Fans can also enjoy photo ops with cosplayers representing the game’s unique cast.

Set on a hostile alien world, players explore a maze-like environment while accompanied by a yellow companion named PUCK. This reinterpretation of arcade nostalgia features exploration-heavy gameplay and an escalating survival loop.

Code Vein II

A follow-up to Bandai Namco’s cult-hit action RPG, Code Vein II returns with haunting visuals and emotional depth. Set in a post-apocalyptic wasteland, players once again take on the role of Revenants fighting for humanity’s future. Fans at Anime Expo can experience the atmosphere firsthand via a photo op with a full-scale replica of the in-game Motorcycle Forma.
