Rocksteady Studios and Warner Bros' Batman: Arkham City stormed the UK software sales charts in its opening weekend, securing its position as the fourth biggest UK video game launch this year. Only FIFA 12, Gears of War 3 and L.A. Noire stood between Batman and the title of year's biggest UK launch. The game's launch sales were nearly double those of the original Batman: Arkham Asylum. For the week ended October 22, and according to data from tracking firm ChartTrack, there were two other new entries this week, as Sega's Football Manager 2012 took up position at number three, and EA's The Sims 3: Pets grabbed number six. FIFA 12 managed to hold on to the number two spot, despite a 35 percent drop in sales, while last week's number one, Forza Motorsport 4, dropped down to number four with a 52 percent decline in sales. Elsewhere, Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 dropped down to number seven with a 52 percent decline in sales, meaning there were three football titles in the top ten. Below are Chart-Track's all-platforms sales charts, which include unit sales of all versions of a given title, and the individual platform charts, which treat individual SKUs separately. UK All-Platforms Top 10 1. Batman: Arkham City (Warner Bros) 2. FIFA 12 (EA Sports) 3. Football Manager 2012 (Sega) 4. Forza Motorsport 4 (Microsoft) 5. Just Dance 3 (Ubisoft) 6.
