BATTLEFIELD 2042 Will Blow You Away With This Explosive Gameplay Trailer

Battlefield 2042 was officially revealed earlier this week and today, during the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase, EA delivered a jaw-dropping gameplay trailer.

The three-minute trailer consists of pre-alpha gameplay captured live in-game with up to 128 players; however, it doesn't state whether it's console or PC footage. Either way, it looks incredible!

EA had promised all-out warfare with Battlefield 2042 and that's exactly what the trailer showcases. It's packed with explosive moments, including one amazing sequence where a player drives an ATV off the top of a building and crashes it into a helicopter. Battlefield fans are probably used to these crazy moments, but Battlefield 2042 kicks it up a notch with its massive scale.

We get a glimpse of the seven maps that these massive experiences will take place, including the ever-changing battle conditions such as the massive tornado and blinding sandstorm. These environmental evolutions will undoubtedly result in some gameplay challenges as the map evolves throughout the course of battle. For instance, we see with the sandstorm that players start to rush inside of a building as to avoid the blinding sand that's being kicked up.

Additionally, the gameplay confirms an assortment of vehicles from jets to helis and a range of weapons available to the player. And in Battlefield 2042, it's all about choosing what's right for you as you create a Specialist with a fully customizable loadout.

Battlefield 2042 is set to launch on October 22, 2021 for Xbox, PlayStation, and PC. However, only Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC will have access to these larger scale maps and 128-player versions of Conquest and Breakthrough. If you recall, the game will also feature two additional modes in Hazard Zone and one currently unannouncements; however, we'll have to wait until July's EA Play Live to learn more about these.
