Players who grew up with the classic Battletoads series had been waiting for over 20 years, when Rare announced that a brand-new entry in the tough as nails beat 'em up series was being developed. The announcement was made at E3 2018, and two years later the game is almost here.
That's right! The all-new Battletoads is only a couple of days away fromreleasing, becoming available on Xbox One, Xbox Game Pass, and PC(Windows 10, Steam) this Thursday the 20th of August, and giving players a slightly different take on the Battletoads.
The Battletoads series was originally created and developed by Rare, but this new game is actually being developed by Dlala Studios — who have been fans of the series for quite a long time, and have already revealed that they want to do the series justice.
One of the things that Dlala Studios changed is the art style, which gives the new Battletoads a Saturday moring cartoon kind of vibe, but combat has been kept pretty much intact, so players should expect some challenging fights that may even come close to being as tough as the ones in the original games.
Now that Battletoads is only two days away from releasing, Rare has shared a new video that sees the developers at Dlala Studios giving players almost 25 minutes of action-packed gameplay, while they make comments about development itself, what makes this combat accessible.
The developers do warn players that there may be some spoilers in these 25 minutes of gamelay for Battletoads, though, so watch at your own risk.

Whether this is your first time encountering the warty warriors or you consider yourself a Battletoads veteran, you won’t have long to wait until the trio burst back onto the scene.
