Earlier this week, developer Inti Creates announced a brand-new game in Koji Igarashi's Bloodstained series, and that this sequel to Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon was expected to launch for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox one, and PC(Steam) at some point soon.
Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2 will be featuring the same 8-bit art style that was used in the original Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon, and would see Zangetsu returning as the main character; with newcomers Dominique, Robert, and Hachi joining him in this new adventure.
Today Inti Creates has some great news for fans of the Bloodstained series, as they have released a brand-new gameplay trailer that reveals that Zangetsu will also be joined by Alfred, Gebel, and Miriam; with the latter not only being in the original Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon, but also starring as the main character in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.
The developers have also revealed that Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2 will become available on Friday the 10th of July, which is actually quite surprising considering that the game was announced this week, and that pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch version are currently open via Nintendo's official website.
We still don't know when pre-orders for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC(Steam) versions of Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2 will open, but it will definitely be rather sooner than later. In the meaintime, be sure to check out the game's new trailer down below.
Take a look:
Curse of the Moon 2 brings classic 2D action and a dark, 8-bit aesthetic together with modern playability. The multiple-scenario structure of the previous title returns with an epic new story supervised by IGA (Koji Igarashi) himself. Players take control of Zangetsu, a swordsman from the far east who bears a deep grudge against demonkind and the alchemists who summoned them. Zangetsu must battle his way to the demonic stronghold, but he doesn't have to do it alone!
Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2 will release for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC(Steam) on Friday the 10th of July.
