Relentless Software -- best known as the creator of Sony's Buzz! franchise -- will create games for PlayJam's interactive casual TV gaming network, the company said. Relentless games will appear on PlayJam's Aggregated Games Portal, a casual games service that will launch on Samsung and LG TVs this month. "We are excited at the opportunity to partner with a developer such as Relentless who have a proven track record of delivering highly successful games the whole family can enjoy," said PlayJam business development director Anthony Johnson. "With Smart TV take-up projected to run into hundreds of millions of devices by 2014, we are confident that this platform will play a key part in the success of future Relentless titles," added Relentless chief executive director Andrew Eades. PlayJam's catalog has generated over 6 billion game downloads, the company recently revealed. In addition to the popular Buzz! series, Relentless also contributed to Sony's EyeToy Groove and EyeToy Kinetic games, and recently released an iPhone game called Quiz Climber with Angry Birds and Cut the Rope publisher Chillingo (now owned by EA).
