Capcom Revealed RESIDENT EVIL VILLAGE With Creepy Announcement Trailer; Launches Next Year

In April of this year, sources claimed that for the latest entry in the Resident Evil series, Capcom would be ditching the number (in this case it would've been 8) and would actually be calling it Resident Evil: Village — and it did sound like something Capcom would do.

Interestingly enough, that's exactly what happened, and today Capcom officially announced Resident Evil Village — during today's PlayStation 5 presentation — which has been revealed to launch for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC.

Capcom also revealed that Resident Evil Village will be launching at some point in 2021, and released a rather intriguing, and quite creepy, trailer to go with the announcement — which seems to hint at Chris Redfield's story coming to a close.

What's even more interesting is that the game sees Chris Redfield almost as an antagonistic figure; at least from Ethan Winters' point of view.

If the information that had been leaked about Resident Evil Village has now been confirmed to be true — for instance, first person view and Chris Redifeld being heavily involved — the game may also be featuring three playable characters; one of which would be Ethan, and the other may now be confirmed to be Chris.
