Chinese game developer NetDragon announced today that it plans to expand into social gaming with a new Facebook version of its free-to-play player-versus-player MMO Conquer Online. Inspired by its client-based PC counterpart, Conquer Online for Facebook is an online action RPG that uses an isometric perspective and an art style that draws from ancient Chinese mythology and martial arts. The game recently began a two-week beta test, where players can participate in several in-game quests and events to win prizes including in-game currency, virtual items, and an Apple iPad. Earlier this year, NetDragon and Japanese mobile game network/developer DeNA announced a partnership to share their mobile game development resources and platforms. Previously, the company has also helped develop new versions of popular games such as Ultima Online and Dungeon Keeper Online for the Chinese market.
