Crysis Remastered being announced was a very pleasant surprise for fans of Crytek's critically acclaimed video game. Even more surprising, however, was the fact that the developer also announced that a Nintendo Switch version of the game would be launching.
Why is this surprising, you may ask? Crysis is one of the most graphically demanding video games out there — even to this day, which is quite impressive for a game that released in 2007 — and a Nintendo Switch version of a remastered edition of the game sounds like it wouldn't be plausible.
Granted, the Nintendo Switch version of Crysis Remastered will not be as sharp or as smooth as other platforms, which is probably one of the main reasons this particular version is actually releasing next week; on Thursday the 23rd of July, to be more precise.
Crysis Remastered on the Nintendo Switch will run at 720p and will be locked at 30 frames per second, as well as feature gyro aiming — which was actually confirmed by Crytek earlier this week — while also keeping all of the original game's physics.
All of this and more can be seen in a brand-new trailer for the Nintendo Switch version of Crysis Remastered, which shows off some of the technical aspects that this particular version will be featuring.
