UK publisher Curve Digital has purchased For the King developer IronOak Games for an undisclosed fee.

Based in Vancouver, IronOak launched For the King in 2017 with the help of Curve, which published the roguelike tabletop adventure on PC and consoles.

IronOak becomes the second indie developer within Curve's family of studios, following the purchase of Bomber Crew developer Runner Deck in 2019

Curve managing director Jason Perkins said the deal signifies the company's position as a "fast growing, ambitious publisher," and indicated more acquisitions could soon follow.

"With IronOak, based on our aligned values and goals, it made sense for them to join the Curve family," they commented, "and as a fast growing, ambitious publisher we’re looking at more acquisitions and encouraging developers that might want to work with us to reach out."
