Bohemia Interactive has announced that the standalone version of DayZ is free to play this weekend on Steam. From today and until February 17th, players can visit the game’s Steam store page, download and play it.

PC gamers will gain access to the latest version of the game.
DayZ is an open-world sandbox online game where each one of 60 players on a server follows a single goal – to survive as long as they can, by all means necessary.
In DayZ, every decision matters. The game does not feature any save games or extra lives. Thus, when you die, you lose everything and start over.
