Newsbrief: Deep Silver is looking to get in on the latest video game trends, as the company today announced that the next in the Dead Island zombie survival series will be a free-to-play MOBA. The MOBA (or multiplayer online battle arena) genre has seen a massive boost in recent years, thanks to big-name releases like League of Legends, Heroes of Newerth and Dota 2. With Dead Island: Epidemic, Deep Silver is moving the franchise away from its first-person multiplayer shooter roots, and trying its hand at the PC free-to-play market. More details will be divulged at Gamescom later this month.
