Newsbrief: Defiance, the MMO shooter from Trion Worlds that launched in 2013 alongside a TV show of the same name, is going free-to-play next month. From June 4, PC players will be able to get involved with the game for free, while the PlayStation 3 version will go free-to-play on July 15 (details of the Xbox 360 version switch are still undecided.) Numerous other notable MMOs have made the switch to free-to-play in recent times, including Bluehole's TERA and EA's Star Wars: The Old Republic.
