NetEase Games has officially announced the release date for Destiny: Rising, a new free-to-play mobile sci-fi RPG set in an alternate timeline of Bungie’s hit franchise. The game will launch on August 28th for iOS and Android, with pre-registration now open on the App Store and Google Play.
Destiny: Rising introduces players to a brand-new story in the Destiny universe. This standalone saga takes place before the events of the original Destiny, allowing both new and returning fans to experience an untold chapter from a fresh perspective. Whether you're a long-time Guardian or just diving into the world, this game is designed to be an accessible, lore-rich entry point into the Destiny franchise.
In this version of the timeline, players become a customizable Lightbearer known as "the Wolf," but they’ll also have the opportunity to play as iconic characters like Ikora Rey and Iron Lord Jolder, each with signature abilities and supers. Players will wield powerful Relics, collect customizable weapons, and hunt for Mythic-tier gear while shaping their own unique combat style.
