Dream.Build.Play 2012 contest registration now open

Newsbrief: Microsoft has opened registration for its annual Dream.Build.Play contest, with independent developers now able to enter games built for Microsoft platforms in the hope of winning cash prizes. The Dream.Build.Play 2012 Challenge aims to inspire developers to create games specifically aimed at the Xbox 360 and, starting from this year, Windows Phone. There is more than $100,000 to be won in cash prizes for those games chosen as finalists by a panel of industry professionals, with registration running up until May 15 at the official Dream.Build.Play website. Last year's contest saw 250 total game submissions, and was won by Guillaume Martin's puzzle/platform game Blocks That Matter.
