Epic Games is seemingly mulling over the possibility of introducing a monthly subscription plan for its popular free-to-play battle royale shooter, Fortnite

A survey sent out by the developer, highlighted by Fortnite influencer FireMonkey, asks players for their opinion on a potential subscription option that would grant access to a 'monthly crew pack' containing early-access character outfits and styles, a supply of 1000 V-Bucks (in-game currency) each month, and the Fortnite Battle Pass.

Players are also being asked how much they'd be willing to pay for that package, with Epic touting prices of up to $18.99 per month, and how they'd rate the proposed monthly subscription on a 10 point scale ranging from 'strongly dislike' to 'strongly like.'

For context, the standard Fortnite Battle Pass costs around $10, and generally refreshes every three months. 1000 V-Bucks, meanwhile, also retail for $10 -- so wouldn't necessarily represent huge value-for-money as part of a monthly subscription. That said, exclusive early access to costumes and other cosmetics could be a huge sell for many players.

It'll be interesting to see whether Epic eventually takes the idea further. Perhaps we'll hear more after the company's high-profile legal battle with Apple has been settled.
