Epic, Train2Game Announce Game Jam Winners

Gears of War creator Epic Games and Train2Game have announced the winners of their Epic Game Jam, which saw over 100 young game developers creating iOS games during a 48 hour event. Held from November 4-6 at the University of Bedfordshire in the UK, the game jam asked each team to make a game for iPhone and iPad devices that used Epic's Unreal Development Kit, and was based around the theme of Guy Fawkes. The top prize went to The A-Team, followed by Nova Eye in second place and Team Gandalf in third. The games have been entered into a grand final competition alongside other entrants, that will run April 11-15, 2012 during the Gadget Show Live in Birmingham, UK. Mike Gamble, Epic's European territory manager, said, "All the game jam participants can wear their battle scars with pride, and for the winners, it's just the start of the biggest opportunity of their careers so far." "More surprises for this competition are in store. We are on track to bring new games to the App Store through this effort, and it's great history in the making."
