Newsbrief: The University of Santa Cruz's Center for Games and Playable Media has a history of tapping respected developers for its program, and today independent developer Erin Robinson Swink (Gravity Ghost, Puzzle Bots) announced on Twitter that she would be taking on the (currently vacant) role of creative director for the masters program in games at the school.
Notable game developers including Robin Hunicke and Brenda and John Romero have previously instructed at the school.
Incidentally, in 2011, Robinson Swink wrote an article for Gamasutra, "The Top 10 Weird Children of Video Games and Neuroscience," which is well worth a read.
