World StarCraft champion and upcoming GDC Next speaker Sean "Day[9]" Plott is working on his very own game. Partnering with Palo Alto, CA-based startup Artillery, Plott will be leading up game design for the company's upcoming browser-based, competitive real-time strategy game built in HTML5. "As a long time player of real-time strategy games, [Artillery] is an amazing opportunity to be part of the team creating an incredible experience," Plott said in a statement in conjunction with the announcement. "Artillery is the only company who can deliver graphically intensive, rich gameplay in the browser." Artillery CEO Ankur Pansari called Plott's involvement with the company "a huge sign of validation" and said via a website announcement that Plott would be bringing "superior insight" to the Artillery team as its new Head of Games.
