Following feedback that the obstacles and puzzles in Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout are too easy, it sounds like Mediatonic has approached Season 2 with a goal to make them more challenging. Lead designer Joe Walsh spoke with App Trigger regarding the upcoming season and explained that the medieval theme of the second season will allow them to create more "dastardly" things to challenge players with.
“We can talk about why we’re doing medieval. Basically people have been clambering for…’make it harder, make it harder’, ‘the levels are too easy’, like, ‘give us a real challenge’ so if we’re going medieval it allows us to be pretty dastardly with the things that we can create.”
The initial sneak peek for Season 2 revealed obstacles like giant draw bridges, swinging axes, and moveable siege ramps. Walsh also teased additional medieval contraptions, like trebuchets, which should add an entirely new element of traversial to the game.
Despite the grim themes associated with medieval times, Fall Guys will maintain its colorful aesthetic, adorable cosmetics and costumes, and approachable gameplay. But while the gameplay will still remain relatively the same in design, the new obstacles could prove more tricky to overcome.

Fall Guys Season 2 will bring the dragon fire with feudal fortresses, knockout knights and pugilistic paladins among new additions coming this October. A full season of new costumes, emotes and more will reward players as they lay siege to the Middle Ages.
Fall Guys Season 2 have a release date yet, but the current in-game menu does feature a countdown clock for the current season. It points to a possible release date for the new season on October 6. Mediatonic said they are still putting the "finishing touches" on the upcoming season.
Meanwhile, there's no word as to if or when Fall Guys will debut on additional platforms. It's currently only available on PlayStation 4 and PC.
