Spellbreak is a fantasy spellcasting action-adventure game developed by Boston-based studio Proletariat. The game was originally announced in December of last year for the PlayStation 4 and PC; while the game still doesn't have an official release date, it is expected to launch at some point this spring.
Alongside the announcement, the developers also revealed that a closed beta for the game was also becoming available for some players to test Spellbreak out at their leisure. In March of this year, actually, the developers added cross-play to make things a little bit more interesting for players.
Earlier today Proletariat made a rather surprising announcement, as they officially revealed that Spellbreak will also be launching on the Nintendo Switch and Xbox One, and that players should expect the game to release soon.
At this point is difficult to predict whether Spellbreak will also be releasing on the Nintendo Switch and Xbox One at the same time that the game launches for the PlayStation 4 and PC, or if the game will also support cross-platform multiplayer across all four of the platforms. Still, this is great news for Xbox One and Nintendo Switch players.
