Former BBC executive joins TV gaming network PlayJam

Newsbrief: The BBC's former head of TV business development, Charles Tigges, has assumed a new position as chief commercial officer for the casual TV gaming company PlayJam. While working for the BBC, Tigges helped create numerous applications and services that enabled streaming content on Smart TVs. At PlayJam, Tigges will help the company strike new business deals, and refine its approach to developing television-based games and services. Tigges' appointment at PlayJam comes shortly after a number of other major hires announced last month, which included former GameStop president Tony Bartel, RecOctane co-founder Charles Huang, and Media Molecule co-founder Chris Lee.
