Former LucasArts staffers raise $1.5M for new game studio

Newsbrief: Four ex-LucasArts staffers have received $1.475 million in funding, to fuel development and marketing for their first game, due for release later this year. Booster Pack is former LucasArts Singapore games producer Kent Byers, lead designer Shane Gavin, senior engineer Chris Chu, and lead artist Benjamin Chevalier. The four set up Booster Pack after LucasArts was shuttered last year, according to TechCrunch. Byers and co. are interested in utilizing IP from other companies for mobile games. The studio is based in Singapore.
