Newsbrief: Kinect Sports developer Rare has appointed a new creative director, as a means of pushing for "the best possible games experiences." Simon Woodroffe, previously the lead designer on the Simon the Sorceror games before holding creative director positions at the likes of Headfirst, Midway and Sega, is now responsible for all aspects of game design at the UK-based studio. Woodroffe, who took up the role at Rare in March, is the latest in a string of new hirings at the company, with the likes of Andrew Dennison, Peter Ridgway and Danny Isaac all taking jobs at the company just before Christmas last year.
