Former Visceral EP Joins Crystal Dynamics To Head New IP Team

Scot Amos, former executive producer at Electronic Arts' Visceral Games group, has joined Tomb Raider studio Crystal Dynamics as EP, where he'll build a core team to work on a new IP. "We are thrilled to add Scot’s 20 years of experience and over 25 shipped games worth of expertise as the cornerstone for our new venture," says Crystal Dynamics GM Darrell Gallagher. Prior to his role at Visceral, Amos was tasked with building the console business for EA Maxis' Sims franchise before moving on to work with Dead Space creators Visceral. "His knowledge of building new IP, forging world-class teams, and shipping blockbuster games is a great infusion to our studio’s on-going growth and talent base," adds Gallagher. Amos will join Crystal Dynamics' Redwood City studio and start building the team that will work on the new Crystal IP. Most recently, the studio released Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light on Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network, and its main team is currently at work on a reboot in the franchise, simply titled Tomb Raider.
