After going free-to-play earlier this week, the PC version of Sony Online Entertainment's DC Universe Online MMO has seen over 120,000 new user registrations in the space of two days. SOE originally announced that the game was changing from the subscription-based payment system to free-to-play just under two months ago, with premium players able to claim extra items and character slots. The game was made free-to-play on November 2, and has seen since over 100,000 new players, according to John Smedley, president at SOE. "Wow, over 120k PC registrations in 2 days for DCUO PC," he said in a tweet. He also revealed that the game has seen four times as many concurrent players as compared to normal since going free-to-play. SOE launched a digital marketplace for DC Universe Online earlier this year, with items available to buy through a microtransactions model. This is still available as part of the free-to-play model.
