Frictional Games and Dear Esther dev team up for Amnesia sequel

Newsbrief: Frictional Games has begun work on a sequel to its hit indie horror game Amnesia: The Dark Descent, and has enlisted the help of thechineseroom, the independent team behind the atmospheric IGF finalist Dear Esther. The new game, titled Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs, will be developed by thechineseroom and produced by Frictional Games, and is scheduled to debut for PC later this year, reports Joystiq. The original Amnesia: The Dark Descent launched September 2010, and sold 200,000 copies as of January 2011, more than doubling Frictional Games' initial estimates.
