Game Connect Asia Pacific Returns To Melbourne For 2011 Show

The Game Developers Association of Australia's has announced the Game Connect Asia Pacific 2011 Conference will take place in Melbourne's Convention Exhibition Center November 14 - 16. Centered around the theme of 'The Journey," the 2011 show will include panels, round table discussions, lectures and master classes focused on programming, art, design, audio, business development and marketing. "'The Journey' is a liberating theme for the conference as it not only allows us to look forward and plot the path of the Australian game development industry over the next few years, but also lets us look back at our evolution, dissecting what has been learned over 31 years of creating games in Australia," GDAA CEO Antony Reed said in a statement. Last year's GCAP show, which took place in Broadbeach, featured keynote presentations from Double Fine, Spry Fox and EEDAR. The conference, which has run annually since 2006 was last in Melbourne in 2009, and has also taken place in Brisbane in the past. More details about this year's show will be revealed when the GCAP 2011 website launches on August 1.
