Gameloft Third Quarter Sales Up 15 Percent to EUR34.7 Million

Paris-based mobile publisher Gameloft (Let's Golf, Modern Combat 2) announced that it has achieved record third quarter sales of EUR34.7 million, a reported 15 percent increase over last year's earnings. Total Gameloft sales for the first nine months of 2010 reached EUR101.3 million, an increase of 12 percent -- or 10 percent, on a constant exchange rate basis -- compared to earnings in the first three quarters of 2009. Gameloft previously reported a year-on-year sales increase of 7 percent in the first quarter of 2010, and 15 percent in the second quarter. The company highlighted its continued success in the iTunes App Store as a particularly strong revenue source. Sales for iPhone and iPad Gameloft titles increased 80 percent during the first nine months of 2010. Gameloft additionally credits its achievement to increased sales in emerging countries, and notes that new mobile devices like Samsung's Galaxy Tab will contribute to future sales growth.
