Newsbrief: Video game retailer GameStop will close all of its stores on the island of Puerto Rico, an unincorporated U.S. territory with a population of roughly 3.4 million.

Speaking to GameSpot, a company rep explained the island's 35 stores will be shut down by the end of March as a result of "ongoing business challenges and increased governmental restraints."

"Until that time, we will continue to conduct normal business operations," added the rep.
