Grounded, the early access survival game developed by Obsidian, has amassed over 5 million players in under six months.
The game challenges players to survive in a treacherous backyard after being shrunk to the size of an ant, and launched in early access form on Steam and Xbox One platforms on July 28, 2020.
Given its status as a first-party Xbox Game Studios title, Grounded has been available through Xbox Game Pass since launch, and recently received an Optimized update for the Xbox Series X and S.
Unfortunately, Obsidian didn't specify how many of those 5 million players have taken Grounded for a spin using Game Pass -- though it seems likely its inclusion on the subscription service will have bumped up those numbers.
