A new report from analytics firm IHS says that growth in the Chinese PC game market has slowed; while it's now worth a staggering $13.8 billion, growth was 11 percent, a fall of 5 percent from the year prior.

Only two publishers -- NetEase and Tencent, the global game industry's biggest -- experienced growth during the year. Tencent by itself controls 62 percent of the Chinese PC game market, or $8.5 billion, IHS reports.

Market domination by Tecent is just another reason smaller Chinese publishers are turning toward mobile games, IHS says. Research published earlier this month by Newzoo and TalkingData suggests core-audience games are moving toward mobile in China.

The country reputedly had 366 million mobile game players as of last August; the country reportedly overtook the U.S. as the biggest territory for mobile game revenues late last year.
