Hearthstone has reached 70 million players

Blizzard has announced that its free-to-play online collectible card video game, Hearthstone, has reached 70 million registered players. Hearthstone was released in 2014 and it took Blizzard almost three years to reach this goal.

In addition, Blizzard revealed that with Journey to Un’Goro, Hearthstone had more players playing together on the same day than at any point in its history.

In order to celebrate this announcement, Blizzard is giving away three free Journey to Un’Goro card packs to everyone.

“As our way of saying thanks, starting today through the end of May, everyone who logs in will receive three free Journey to Un’Goro card packs. Yup! Everyone! Even new players! Just log in to claim your bonus packs!”
