After years of rumors, Horizon Zero Dawn 2 has been officially announced and revealed.
However, the sequel isn't called "Horizon Zero Dawn 2" but rather Horizon Forbidden West. Make no mistake, though, this is absolutely Horizon Zero Dawn 2. Aloy is back and better than ever.
She certainly looks better than ever as Horizon Forbidden West will be coming to the PlayStation 5 — seemingly and most probably exclusively.
It's set after the events of the previous installment as well as its expansion, The Frozen Wilds. Of course, it's developed by Guerilla Games just like its predecessor was.
Horizon Forbidden West rounded out Sony's PlayStation 5 games showcase.
The event in question certainly showed a lot of games, but none were more visually stunning than the Horizon Zero Dawn sequel.
However, it isn't only the graphics that have evolved but also the gameplay.

As well as lush new environments to explore, it seems the sequel will feature underwater exploration, which was absent from the prior installment.
The reveal trailer also shows off some incredible new creatures such as a robotic elephant, ominous turtle, and much more — all below epic narration from Aloy.
