Newsbrief: Icelandic virtual reality developer Sólfar Studios has received $2.1 million in seed funding from a group of Nordic and Asian investors.

Sólfar was founded in October 2015 by a handful of former CCP Games employees, including CCP co-founder, Reynir Hardarson, and EVE Online's lead game designer, Pierre Emilsson, who also headed up the CCP's Shanghai Studio.

Sólfar is currently focused on adding experience to its growing team while pushing ahead with its virtual reality titles Everest VR, a virtual reality exploration experience, and Godling, an original IP designed for PlayStation VR.
