Indie XBLA game Fez sells 100K copies

Newsbrief: Polytron's critically acclaimed puzzle-platformer Fez has sold 100,000 copies on Xbox Live Arcade since it debuted on the service in mid-April. Co-published by Microsoft and Trapdoor (Warp), the game sells for $10. Polytron started development on Fez in 2007. It picked up a lot of buzz for the game as it won multiple awards at the Independent Games Festival and other competitions, and was featured in the Indie Game: The Movie documentary. Fez joins a couple other recent hits on XBLA, such as Mojang and 4J Studios' Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition (also published by Microsoft), which sold over one million copies in five days; and Ubisoft and RedLynx's Trials Evolution, which pushed more than 100,000 downloads on its release day.
