Indiegogo has opened up the Indiegogo Marketplace: an online storefront with the sole purpose of peddling the wares created through successful campaigns on its crowdfunding platform.

While the platform didn’t launch with any Indiegogo-funded video game projects listed in the Marketplace on day one, the storefront itself gives crowdfunding-curious developers another factor to consider when considering where to bring a crowdfunding campaign.

Usually, after successfully completing a campaign, the crowdfunding platform used becomes mostly a place for developers to update backers on the process of the project throughout its ongoing development.

Indiegogo's marketplace aims to give its creators a way to use the website following a campaign's completion, all while acting as an additional storefront for devs and other creators to sell their completed project.

The Indiegogo Marketplace adds an additional filter option to the website’s project listing that displays fully-funded projects with products already available to ship. From there, potential purchasers can order the item of their choosing directly from the storefront now built into the Indiegogo site along with a ship-date guarantee to quell the delivery date uncertainty that has come to be associated with crowdfunded projects through the years.
